Russell Street Field is poised for a remarkable transformation in summer 2024. Combined with the College’s investment in the project, our $2 million fundraising goal will pave the way for the installation of a dual fiber artificial turf, reminiscent of the high-quality surface at Garcelon Field.
Equipped with a shock pad for enhanced safety and utilizing SBR rubber tire beads, this turf ensures durability and year-round usability. With plowable features, the field will remain accessible even in the harsh New England winters, providing consistent playing conditions for all athletes. Lights will also increase availability for scheduling practices and games for our many field-based varsity, club, and intramural teams, including soccer, lacrosse, rugby, and ultimate frisbee.
Your contribution to this project will not only address the pressing need for improved facilities but will also foster a more inclusive and competitive environment for our entire athletic community. Future upgrades will include new bleacher seating for fans to cheer on the many Bobcats competing on Russell Street Field, and a press box for game day coverage.
To help reach our $2 million goal, an anonymous donor has generously offered to match every gift to the Russell Street Field renovation dollar-for-dollar, up to $150,000! We hope you'll join in today to amplify your impact.
