The Student Support Fund through the Student Affairs office provides financial support to students facing difficult circumstances. Most recently, this fund has helped students defray the costs of a flight home for a family emergency, receive urgent dental work, and buy a much-needed pair of new glasses.
This type of financial support is even more necessary during the coronavirus pandemic, when many of our students and their families are wrestling with enormous challenges. We want to ensure that this fund is able to give students all the help they need.
While part of the Bates operating budget, the fund is bolstered by contributions from our community. Please consider making a gift to the Student Support Fund in support of some of our most vulnerable students. A gift of any size could make a huge difference in the life of a student who needs it.
